“The Lakefront City of Superior Services” is not just a slogan but a positive attitude when it comes to planning and development in Euclid. Through a wide variety of local, county, state and federal programs Euclid has been able to maintain its place as a great location for businesses. We were fortunate to be the recipients of a grant from the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission to update the City’s Master Plan in 2016-2018.
This was an exciting opportunity as the last Master Plan was completed in 1996.
A Master Plan is a reflection of the community’s vision and developed as a guide for the future of the City of Euclid. The process inventories current conditions, outlines a community’s vision for the future, and then describes concrete, specific action steps community leaders can undertake to accomplish that growth and development.
The public process to develop the Plan included a survey sent to 1400 randomized households, three public meetings and follow-up online questionnaires, and multiple work sessions of both the Steering Committee – composed of City Officials, residents, business owners, and other community stakeholders who were selected through a competitive process – and the Project Team composed of City Administrators and Staff.
On February 5th, 2018 Euclid City Council adopted the Euclid Master Plan setting in motion programs and projects to be implemented over the course of the next decade.
